THE FIRST STEP IN GETTING YOUR NORTH CAROLINA REAL ESTATE LICENSE
In order to obtain a real estate license, the State of North Carolina currently requires that you are 18 years of age and complete the following:
1. Receive a completion certificate by passing a state-approved
75-hour ProvisionalBroker Prelicensing Course (see courses)
2. Submit your certificate along wiith an application form and $30
to the N.C. Real Estate Commission
3. Obtain a criminal background check from Carolina
Investigative Research, Inc.
4. Pass the North Carolina state exam. This a computerized
multiple choice exam of 115 questions. A $60.00 exam fee is payable directly to the testing center
